City Mission of Schenectady
We were pleased to be able to offer a scholarship to the City Mission of Schenectady, an organization that seeks to comprehensively meet the needs of the poor in a manner that dignifies and strengthens the individual, the family and the community. The scholarship allowed for one of their talented new leaders to attend the fall session of our core management training program, #Leadwell: Building Leaders for Tomorrow, held at the Albany office of the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce.
Young Life – Greater Northeast Region
Bishop House leadership coach and facilitator, Jillian Savoie, had the pleasure of working with leaders from the Greater Northeast Region of Young Life, an organization that has making a difference in the lives of teenagers around the world since 1941. The leadership training included an Everything DiSC Management session and individual
leadership coaching. “The content and interaction helped our team learn important information and behaviors that will make a difference in how we operate,” said Glenn Cook, the Associate Regional Director from the Capital District Young Life Chapter.
Albany Women Presidents’ Organization
Robin Perry, our Vice President of Learning & Development, recently had the opportunity to present Everything DiSC to the Albany chapter of the Women Presidents’ Organization, a nonprofit membership organization for women presidents, CEOs and managing directors of multimillion-dollar companies. Robin is looking forward presenting at the Saratoga Springs chapter later in the year.
Empire State College
Lisa Adams, Bishop House coach and facilitator, led a custom developed program that combined Everything DiSC and team training at the Empire State College leadership retreat in Saratoga Springs. Empire State College serves mostly working adults pursuing associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees at 35 locations in New York State and abroad. Walter Williams, Vice President for Advancement, said of the experience, “It was the best training of this type in which I have ever participated.”
