The Fiscal Cliff mantra of late 2012 brought tremendous, terrifying images to mind for many people. Who wants to go over a cliff? A good friend of mine adjusted the lens looking at the forthcoming events as a Fiscal Ditch which was quite refreshing. We can traverse a ditch.
Challenges lay ahead for you and your team. As the well informed, dynamic leader you, of course, can foresee the depth and breadth of these challenges. The choice you need to make is how best to communicate the information you have, to elicit the motivation and behaviors you desire of your team.
The truth is always your friend. Be choosy with the words you leverage in describing the truth.
