Semi-retirement Coaching

I’m 49 and still want to work hard so I’m not ready to retire.  I don’t want to continue in this corporate life for the next 15 years.  Is there a way I could create more time and continue to do meaningful, productive, lucrative work? 

We provide coaching to executives and business owners who are reaching pinnacles in their careers and curious as to how they can get more out of life.  In particular, how to still do meaningful work while also pursuing other passions.

Bishop House’s Semi-retirement Coaching has been developed to guide leaders and business owners in the exploration of the next phase of their career.  We have found that many leaders in the early 40s through early 50s are intrigued with the prospect of less intense work and time to pursue other interests.

Getting Started
Our process incorporates several approaches to help the leader or business owner gain clarity on their personal and professional goals and develop a roadmap to a self described semi-retirement.  While unique to each individual, the following steps are generally followed. 

  • Assessment – Investigating the current status of personal and professional goals, developing a vision for potential semi-retirement career paths and developing an inventory of passions.
  • Roadmap Coaching – A roadmap is developed to help the leader identify and assess semi-retirement paths. 
  • Action Planning – Actionable plans are developed to which the leader can be held accountable in working down their desired roadmap.
